To whom it may concern:
It is indeed a pleasure writing this reference for Dr. Henry Zeidan.
I know him since 2002 when he was Professor in Biochemistry at St. Christopher college of Medicine at Luton (UK) where I was the Dean of Basic Sciences.
Here, at IAU he is a professor of Pharmacology. He has designed and develops his course schedule well. He utilizes current evidence-based to underpin Teaching and Learning activities. He is an authority in his subject and provides academic leadership and specialist advice to the students as a mentor. He has good grasp on Physiology too hence can do all these courses. He identifies learning needs of students well and achieves appropriate learning objectives. He ensures that contents, methods of delivery and materials meet the defined objectives. He has developed own teaching materials and methods & approaches to teaching.
He has also facilitated a case study course (Problem based learning) for the fourth semester students. He has developed this course well chalking out principles and objectives of each case. He motivated students to research and find answers on their own to all queries and overseen their presentations.
He has lead journal clubs and Brown Bag Seminars. He has contributed to admissions committee and is always willing to help the management and administration of the University. He is self-motivated and enthusiastic in educational field. He has shown willingness to learn and listen even at his age. He has achieved advanced written and oral communication and IT skills.
He has numerous publications to his credit. His major research focused on Spin Labels in Biomedicine and Pharmacology.
He enjoys spending his leisure time on the island with students, playing games and chess, swimming and traveling.
He is sincere and thoroughly professional in his work and bears a good moral and ethical character. He relates well to colleagues.
He has also worked as an Acting Dean during my absences. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any higher/senior Administrative positions in Pharmacology & or Biochemistry.
